Content Producer

The Role:

The Content Producer is responsible for developing and executing integrated content strategies across various platforms, both traditional and digital, to engage target audiences and achieve client objectives. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on content creation and production, overseeing projects from concept to completion. The Content Producer collaborates closely with the agency’s creative, account management, and programming teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and impactful campaigns. This role requires a deep understanding of marketing and advertising, audience behaviour, content marketing principles, and the evolving media landscape.

The Tasks:

  • Strategic Planning & Development: Develop comprehensive content strategies that align with client business goals, target audience insights, and brand guidelines. This includes defining key messaging, identifying optimal channels (print, digital, social, experiential), and establishing measurable KPIs.
  • Content Ideation & Creation: Conceptualise and develop engaging content across various formats, including:
    • Digital: Social media posts (organic and paid), influencer marketing, blog articles, website copy, email marketing campaigns, video scripts, interactive content, and more.
    • Traditional: Print ads, brochures, out-of-home advertising (OOH) concepts, radio scripts, and other traditional media content.
  • Production Management: Oversee the content production process from start to finish, including:
    • Planning and coordinating photoshoots, video shoots, and other production activities.
    • Managing creative resources (graphic designers, videographers, photographers, writers) and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality assets.
  • Developing and adhering to project timelines and budgets
  • Cross-Platform Integration: Ensure consistent brand messaging and a seamless user experience across all platforms.
  • Market Research & Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content marketing and advertising. Conduct market research to understand target audience preferences and competitive landscapes.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the account management team to understand client needs and objectives. Collaborate with the creative team to develop visually compelling content. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

Entry Requirements:

  • A distinction in English Language and Literature at the secondary school level
  • A Degree/Course in Marketing, Communications, the Arts, or Business
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to create out-of-the-box and even wacky ideas
  • Proven experience in content marketing, advertising, or related fields. Portfolio demonstrating successful content campaigns across multiple platforms (digital and traditional).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and platforms.
  • Ability to register simply with a conversational style. Writing should be informative, but not verbose
  • Familiarity with traditional advertising channels and production processes.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., content management systems, social media management platforms, analytics tools, design software).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Having a driver’s license and access to a working vehicle will be considered beneficial
